Lenten Missions Offering

Make an impact in the lives of people around the world this holy season by making a special Lenten offering. You may give online, deliver to the office, or drop your donation in the offering plate on Sunday morning. Be sure to note “Lenten Missions Offering” with your gift. Our goal this year is to raise $12,000 to support the work of the following important projects and missions:

Africa University Scholarships: Assists young people in Africa who have the potential to succeed at university level, but do not have the financial means.

Bethlehem Bible College: Is an interdenominational college that uses Arabic as its primary language of instruction.

_______

Central Conference Pastor Pension Fund: Provides long-term retirement security for faithful UMC servants in the conferences outside of the United States that need it.

El Porvenir – Clean Water for Nicaragua: Works side-by-side with rural families and schools in Nicaragua to construct wells, latrines, village washing facilities, school hand-washing stations as well as support reforestation projects.

Haiti Zero Charcoal 2020: Their mission is to eliminate use of charcoal and reverse deforestation so that a child born in 2020 will learn only through history that Haiti depended on charcoal as a cooking fuel before they were born.

Mid-West Mission Distribution: Shows God’s Love in practical ways through the distribution of education, health and disaster relief supplies meeting basic human needs around the world and around the corner.

New Hope UMC building project (Liberia): Funding a church building under construction on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia.

_______

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR): Exists to assist United Methodists and churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need through programs of relief, rehabilitation, and service.

UM Ganta Hospital (Liberia): Provides affordable hospital services to a public whose economic situation does not allow them to pay realistic costs for medical services.

UM Kissy Clinic (Sierra Leone): Provides integrated community programs for maternal and child health to accelerate the reduction of maternal and child health morbidity and mortality.

Give as you can. Every donation is appreciated. You can find special Lenten Offering envelopes in the pews during Sunday services or at the Welcome Center, simply drop your donation in the offering plate on Sundays, leave it at the Welcome Desk or deliver it to the office during the week.  To give online, CLICK HERE and be sure to note “Lenten Missions Offering” with your donation.
