Leadership Retreat - March 6
Allow yourself to uncover your gifts, personality, values and passions-the person that God meant you to be. Place before yourself the wonderful truth that somewhere deep inside of you is a person designed by God. There can be no path more fulfilling than the one that uses your unique gifts as God intended.
When: March 6th, 2010 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Where: Wesley's Garden Room
Cost: Free will offering to cover the cost of lunch
Find meaning and purpose in your personal ministry by discovering and affirming: what I do best (life gifts and spiritual gifts), the places or atmospheres that give me the most energy (personality type and values) , the purposes God placed in my heart (passions).
How do I discover and affirm these things? Enroll in the workshop by registering online or call the church at 309-827-8046. Take 3 online assessments prior to coming. You will receive links to the online assessments when you register. If you are not computer savvy, you may take the assessments in the Library on Feb. 10th or Feb. 24th between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Fill in your assessment score card and bring it to the retreat. Certified trainers will help you to understand what your scores mean and how to apply your gifts and passions to ministry.
At the end of the retreat we hope you will understand and appreciate that each human being is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), you were created with a unique, specially chosen blend of gifts (Ps 139:13-16), and that God has in mind specific good works for you to accomplish (Ephesians 2:10).
