We invite you to participate in W.I.S.E (Wesley Intergenerational Sunday Experience) on August 1 and 8.  Our regular Sunday schedule resumes on August 29.

Sundays (10:15 am - 11 am)

  • The Books of Moses        leader:  Dale Griffith                       location: conference room                        dates:  Aug 29-Dec 19

         Join us for this leisurely walk through the Books of Moses.  This fall we will continue our journey with Numbers and Deuteronomy.  No advance preparation is necessary. Just bring your Bible and join us for a time of discussion and growth!

  • Serious Answers to Hard Questions  leader:  Dianne West          location: lounge                   dates:  Aug 29-Oct 17

   Life often hands us difficult questions that we need to address from a perspective of faith.  This class will look at four difficult topics with the help of video lectures from a variety of experts.  Topics to be covered will be: Evil, Evangelism and Tolerance, God and the Old Testament, and Science and Religion.  Join us as we reflect together in faith.

  • What’s in the Bible About Jesus?  Why Should I Care?          Leader:  Nancy Bollman    location: lounge         dates:  October 24-December 19

   “What’s in the Bible About Jesus?” will help readers explore who Jesus is, what he said and did when he walked the earth, and how Christians can relate to God and to one another through Jesus. Chapters include: “Who Is Jesus?”, “What Did Jesus Say?”, “What Did Jesus Do?”, and “How Can We Respond to Jesus?”

 

Mondays: 

            Pastor Camilla will be leading a series of Bible studies on Mondays at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.  Each session will last one hour.  Pick either time to join us!

  • Back to the Beginning—A Look At Genesis           August 30-October 18          location:  garden room

 Join Pastor Camilla for this walk through the stories of Genesis, with an emphasis on those stories that don’t get told very often.  Bring your Bible.

           

  • Breaking the Code:  Understanding the Book of Revelation      October 25-December 20     location:  garden room

The book of Revelation is probably the most ignored, feared, and misunderstood book of the Bible.  Join Pastor Camilla to take a look at what it’s REALLY about!

Tuesdays:

  • Women’s Bible Study 7-8 a.m.  Join us for this ongoing study with rotating topics and leaders.
  • Men’s Bible Study  6-7 a.m.  All men are invited to be a part of this ongoing time of fellowship and study.  It’s a great way to start the day!

                    Week 3—Wesley at Work—a look at the work of  Wesley UMC and the global church

                    Week 4—A Look at the Book—an overview of one Biblical book
