Volunteer Needs
Here are some ways you can serve in the youth program...
There are many ways to volunteer in the youth program. If you have a heart for students and want to serve, please talk to Frank Newburn or Stacy Ash at the church.
TUTORING/ Homework Help Room –
Adults are needed to help staff the Homework Help Room. The room is open on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00p in the Jr High Youth Lounge. Students can bring their dinner in, and sit in a quiet room to do homework. They can also find help with assignments from willing adults. If you can sit in the room as an adult presence, or if you can help out with homework every Wednesday - or even just one Wednesday per month - please let Stacy Ash know. Also if you are a student and you know you need help in a specific subject - let Stacy know, because we have adults that are good at certain subject that we can call on. We even have someone that can help with high school
SMALL GROUP LEADERS & CO-LEADERS -
Adults are needed to help facilitate small groups on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00p. Small groups are divided by age and gender. Group leaders are needed, but adults can also serve as a secondary adult presence and request not to lead. Adults committing to Wednesdays also attend a monthly adult youth leader meeting. Curriculum, resources, training and adult study and support provided.
SUNDAY SCHOOL -
Adults are needed:
- as co-leaders and substitute leaders with Frank Newburn as leader in the Senior High class,
- as substitute leaders with Darcy Bogle and Stacy Ash and Josh Houtzel as leaders in the 8th grade class,
- and as leaders and co-leaders for the 6th/7th grade combined class.
All materials, training and co-leaders are provided.
MAILINGS –
A mailed newsletter will be sent from the youth program every quarter. If you can help stuff envelopes, please let us know. There may be additional mailings throughout the year that we need help with as well.
RENT-A-YOUTH -
Fall and Spring Yard Clean-up & chores, students will perform various yard and house chores as a community service and fundraiser for youth missions. Adults are needed to work with the students at work sites, and to help with driving.
FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR(s) –
Fundraisers are necessary to raise money for summer mission and spiritual growth events. Adults are needed to coordinate individual fundraisers - with help from the Directors.
RUMMAGE SALE ASSISTANT –

PHOTO UPLOADING TO CHURCH WEB-SITE -
Adults needed to help upload photos from youth events to the church web-site.
PHOTO ARCHIVING –
Adults needed to help archive youth event photos into photo albums.
