Mission & Vision

Our mission here at Wesley UMC is  “To make and nurture disciples for Jesus Christ”, and we strive to do that in ways that are joyful, thoughtful, and relevant to modern life.  John Wesley,  one of our United Methodist founders and the namesake of Wesley Church, was known for an activist Christianity that sought to link together vital personal spirituality and a commitment to serve  those in need in practical ways.  Wesley believed that both personal faithfulness and social outreach were two intertwined parts of the gospel of Jesus, and that “faith without works”, in the words of the New Testament writer James, “was dead.”

We seek to be faithful to that history and heritage as we respond in a wholistic way to our call to live the Christian life..through vibrant worship, risk-taking service, generous giving, and welcoming hospitality.

We welcome persons from all stations of life… and extend the invitation to all to come as  you are in the knowledge that God accepts you and loves you too much to leave you without the spiritual food you need.

Grace and Peace,

Rev. Vaughn Hoffman, Senior Minister
