Webster describes contentment as being fully satisfied with things as they are. In this series taken from Philippians, chapter 4, we will learn how we can be content ... today. In a world that promises that more and bigger will fulfill our deepest desires, this truth from God's Word cuts through the lies and allows us to experience a great and lasting contentment, regardless of our circumstances. Wesley Wheelers Ride Again!

Bicyclists of all abilities are invited to join us for upcoming group rides beginning in May and running through the fall. Our first outing will take place Saturday, May 19, with a “Lake Country Ride” in northern Mclean County. We will meet at Comlara Park, at the main parking lot near the swimming beach at 10:00 AM. Our ride takes us around Lake Evergreen, a distance of about 13 miles and circles back to the start at that point. Those interested in a longer ride will continue on from there, making the loop around Lake Bloomington before returning to our cars. The longer ride distance is about 30 miles.

In addition to the May 19 ride, additional upcoming ride dates in the near future include Sunday June 3, at 2:00 PM and Saturday, June 16 at 9:00 AM. Mark your calendars and watch the e-news for details.

VBS 2012 begins June 24; Registration now open

discoveryintro"Discovery Canyon" is the name of our 2012 Vacation Bible School, and registration is now open.  Opening day for the series of evenings is June 24th with a neighborhood parking lot celebration (joining with Mt. Moriah Christian church's VBS).

Explore the wonders of God's Word through games, songs, stories,crafts and more in a high energy and vivd canyon environment! Throughout VBS an emphasis on evangelism helps kids learn that we can rejoice, pray, ask, tell and seek just like people in Bible times. Ages 4yrs- 5th grade.

Mother's Day collection for Neville House begins in May

In May, Church and Society is sponsoring our annual Mother’s Day collection for Neville House, part of Mid Central Community Action’s Countering Domestic Violence (CDV) program that serves women and children in our community. You can learn more about this work by visiting www.mccainc.org.
