What We Are...

The Young Adult Ministry is a ministry designed to reach the college students and post-college aged young adults of Wesley. Our goal as a ministry is to provide young adults with an opportunity to experience God's word in a way that is relevant to the struggles and issues they face today. Through this we strive to form a community of young believers by building relationships with others who are at a similar point in life. Our Thursday night meetings are set up in a Bible study based format, while our monthly Saturday night outings offer a time for fun and continued socialization off campus! Come join us in room 51 (AKA the Senior High Lounge on the lower level) on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Snacks provided!

What We're Studying...

What if anyone in Hell could take a bus trip to Heaven and stay there forever if they wanted to?
In The Great Divorce, C.S. Lewis again employs his formidable talent for fable and allegory. The writer finds himself in Hell boarding a bus bound for Heaven. The amazing opportunity is that anyone who wants to stay in Heaven, can. This is the starting point for an extraordinary meditation upon good and evil, grace and judgment. Lewis' revolutionary idea is the discovery that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside. In Lewis's own words, "If we insist upon keeping Hell (or even earth), we shall not see Heaven: if we accept Heaven we shall not be able to retain even the smallest and most intimate souvenirs of Hell." Where should I be, and when?
We meet at 7:00 p.m. every Thursday in the Senior High Youth Lounge (in the basement of Wesley UMC - walk down the main staircase, turn left at the bottom, turn right at the corner, follow the stairs down to Wesley hall, and the Youth Lounge will be on your left).
