Wesley’s Rummage Sale Sets Record

Saturday, April 24th was a big day for Wesley United Methodist. BIG day, as in record setting. The annual Wesley Rummage Sale, held at the Interstate Center from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, earned just shy of $30,000. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the 2017 Youth Choir Tour, Youth Mission Trips, as well as United Methodist Women’s worldwide, state, and local mission projects.

The sale itself allows individuals and families in need to purchase clothes, furniture, household items, etc. at incredibly reasonable prices. Each year, the sale has more than 20 departments including clothing, shoes, books, housewares, antiques, furniture, café, and much more. Hundreds of volunteers put in more than 4,000 man hours to make the sale happen.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the amazing results of this years Rummage Sale and how our church congregation came together in one heart and mission. Because of the success of the sale we are able to impact so many lives through the ministries of the UMW, youth missions, and youth choir.”

Frank Newburn, Director, Youth Ministries

THANK YOU to all who organized, participated, supported, and purchased.  We are extremely grateful.
