On June 21 eight people: Dave Buxton, Jay Corwin, Henry Davis, Raydean Davis, Jason Hemp, Vaughn Hoffman, Mari Hollingsworth, Rob Walling, and Judy Woodburn will depart Bloomington to represent Wesley United Methodist Church in the Nebraska United Methodist Bike Ride for Hunger (NUMB). NUMB 2013 is a four day loop tour of more than 225 miles beginning and ending in Norfolk, Nebraska. This year NUMB will celebrate 18 years of feeding the hungry of the world. NUMB has contributed almost $600,000 to alleviate hunger since the first ride in 1996.
The goal for the Wesley riders participating in NUMB 2013 is to raise $8,000. We know this is an ambitious goal, but we truly believe it can be done. Hunger is a real problem in the world and right here in our own community and your donations will help feed those in need. 100% of the funds raised for the NUMB Ride go to those in need. None of the funds are used for administrative costs. If you would like to donate to the NUMB Ride, please make your check payable to Wesley UMC and write NUMB Ride on the memo line. Please drop your check in the church office or in the offering plate on Sunday morning.

Check out pictures from the trip to the Oregon United Methodist Church in Oregon, IL and Bethany United Methodist Church in Madison, WI.
